Socialbeat & Roboticly won Round 6 of the Google Digital News Initiative!

Personalized content experience" is the project designed by Socialbeat and Roboticly, in collaboration with L'Eco di Bergamo and Accenture, and funded by the Google Digital News Innovation Fund (DNI Fund), which from 2015 rewards the most innovative ideas in the field of publishing and digital journalism.


The project presented by Socialbeat, Roboticly, L'Eco di Bergamo and Accenture has been chosen from hundreds of candidates in Europe who have participated in the sixth round of funding in the large projects category and will receive a financial investment of 400 thousand euros from the fund set up by Google to encourage innovation in the world of digital news.


"Personalized content experience" has been designed to encourage the evolution of news, leveraging technology to offer readers not just information but an editorial experience based on their interests, behavior and in line with current trends.

Thanks to the artificial intelligence powered by Roboticly, Socialbeat will be able to identify the best content to be delivered to the reader of L'Eco di Bergamo exploiting also information about social trends, of which the startup is one of the main analysts. One of the decisive steps to achieve this goal is the enrichment of data that will serve to create the knowledge of the user: not only personal information, but also geography, format preferences (text news vs. video news) and habits to build a model that adapts the content to the interests of each individual reader. The aim of the project is to optimize existing digital revenues and create other monetization levers, for example through the implementation of customized hyperlocal coupons. The development of the Personalized content experience will begin in the second quarter of 2019 and will last approximately one year.
